Project Title: “A CPA: Assisting Cooperatives’ Proficiency in Accounting”
The “A CPA: Assisting Cooperatives’ Proficiency in Accounting” is a project that aims to help four selected cooperatives in the Province of Aklan in their accounting functions, as well as their business operations.
Long trips that include walking and crossing the sea did not stop the ACCJPIA volunteers to render their accounting proficiency to the cooperatives which they found are lacking of accounting system. One of their chosen cooperatives is the Boracay Ati Multi-Purpose Cooperative, which is managed by nuns. The student volunteers helped the Aetas – who are often neglected by common people – by teaching them basic mathematics up to fundamentals of accounting. For the volunteers, the project did not only create an impact to their chosen beneficiaries, but also to each one of them who shared a part of their knowledge in the field of accountancy.
