The projects will be evaluated through the following criteria: impact of the project (25%), harnessing of the spirit of volunteerism and citizenship (25%), creativity and innovation (20%), sustainability (15%), and effective use of resources (15%).
The ten (10) TAYO Awardees shall receive Php 50,000 cash grant and a trophy sculpted by Toym De Leon Imao. The search offers several growth opportunities for all the qualifying organizations.
Improvements, strengthening the TAYO Search
TAYO 13 introduces the new additions to the already rigorous process of the search: TAYO Categories and TAYO Videos. These new features aim to scale up the ante for the interested youth organizations.
From the beginning of the application process up to the national judging, organizations will be competing according to their listed category. The five (5) categories are: Education and Technology, (2) Health, Nutrition, and Well-Being, (3) Environment, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Climate Change Adaptation, (4) Livelihood and Entrepreneurship, and (5) Culture and the Arts and Peace and Human Development. Organizations will only compete with other organizations in the same category. The four best organizations in each category, regardless of which area they belong to, will be invited to the TAYO week. An organization can submit multiple entries to different categories provided that the projects are different. To learn more about the scope of the categories, organizations may visit www.tayoawards.net for more detailed explanations.
TAYO Awards will also introduce another vital component to the Search process: the TAYO Videos. In partnership with the students of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts Multimedia Arts department, documentary videos will be produced for the top 20 organizations to be published on the official TAYO Website. An online voting allowing the people to vote for their chosen TAYO story for the TAYO Category People’s Choice Award.
TAYO: 13 years of pioneering development for Filipino youth organizations
The ultimate goal of this year’s search is to continue the foundation’s legacy of providing avenues for growth and development to various Filipino youth organizations. The creation of the TAYO Categories seek to identify and acknowledge the variety and strength of organizations focusing on similar advocacies. Moreover, the TAYO Videos shall underscore the advancement and maturity of youth organizations in the country as each finalist share their story to inspire and inform fellow youth.
